Billionaire Tom Steyer has announced his intention to join the Democrat presidential race.
Tom Steyer is an environmentalist and advocate to get Donald Trump impeached.
He had previously said that he would not run for office, but he has clearly changed his mind.
Forbes lists Mr Steyer's net worth at $1.6bn (£1.2bn).
Despite being a financier he blames a lot of America’s problems on corporations.
But with his worth it is hard to see what new energy he will add to America.
After all he is one of the very wealthy interests he is warning Americans against.
America is destined it seems to be ruled by the wealthy, Obama is a long way away.
