 Xposed re-emerged yesterday at Southwark Playhouse for another set of seven LGBT plays.

The Xposed event showcases emerging talent in LGBT productions.

This year's collection was strong all round.

From tales of young gay men attempting to lose their virginity to lesbians pontificating about getting married in churches.

Xposed arcs humourously through a variety of everyday stories of LGBT life and has showcased some great writers to watch for the future.

Tickets will be available for another Xposed this time next year, keep your eyes peeled.

Bomb squad called over glitter

Straight Pride are no fun.

They called in the bomb squad and FBI after receiving envelops filled with that terrifying substance, glitter.

Three members of Super Happy Fun America called the authorities over envelopes filled with a "granular substance".

The letters prompted a response from the FBI, three fire departments and the bomb squad.

Not only is this a massive waste of resources in a world where real terrorism exists, it gives the impression that straight people are no fun.

This group, based in Boston, should have it’s name changed to grouchy miserable America.

They should have no right to call themselves straight pride.

Glitter bombing is a peaceful protest against those who oppose the LGBT community and it’s fun too.

These guys need to lighten up.

Transgender hate crime goes up

The number of transgender hate crimes recorded by police forces in England, Scotland and Wales has risen by 81%, latest figures suggest.

Whatever progress the LGBT community has made is always marred by hate crime.

It proves it is still very hard to be transgender in today’s society.

There is no evident reason for the rise, people are just becoming more hateful.

There is a separate Pride for the transgender community, let’s hope it goes off without a hitch.
