Chocolate cocktails!

I went along to The Chocolate Cocktail Club yesterday.

It was scrumptious...

You get a free cocktail with the booking price and the cocktails are averagely priced, so it’s not that expensive.

All the chocolate cocktails really do taste of chocolate and some even come with a chocolate addition.

The shots are served in edible chocolate shot glasses and are a real strong treat.

There is chocolate wine and chocolate beer and, weirdly, nachos.

The chocolate wine is really nice, but we didn’t try the chocolate beer...

I would heartily recommend it.

Matcha madness

So yesterday was my first day without Coca Cola for a very long time.

I went to my local cafe, Perfect Blend, and settled myself down.

Now I had been partial to the orange juice there, but I fancied something different.

I have always liked Matcha ice cream, but I have never actually had a Matcha.

Green heaven

Matcha it was!

When the waitress came over with the green frothy cup I asked for sugar, but when I tasted it I realised I was not going to need sugar.

It was delicious, I can’t describe it any better.

Lent is going to be fun...

Rat bar

The rat bar has just entered the fray for London’s hippest night spot.

Sporting the Banksy rat as one of a collection of graffiti art the cavernous enclosure boasts pizza and drinks just off the graffiti laden Leake Street in Waterloo.

The drinks all range around the £5 mark apart from the odd cocktail and you can get merry on an espresso infused Black Death or a sambuca laced Rat Tat Tat.

If you haven’t had enough with the rat inspired cocktails there are the stylised rat masterpieces on the walls designed by Wu Tang Clan artwork designer Gary Alford.

The pizzas are reasonable and so you can have a full evening out with mates and drinks in a hideaway drinking den on Leake Street and pretend the real world doesn’t exist for a bit.

It’s a pop up, so get there while you can.
